Today saw the release of firmware 2.30 for the Sony Playstation 3. This update consists of a change to the Playstation Store regarding functionality and layout. The Playstation Store will no longer use the PS3's built in browser, resulting in faster navigation. There has also been a change to the layout of the Store providing improved navigation and categorization.
Personally, I'm impressed with the Playstation Store update and find it much easier to use. Please post your thoughts...
Many thanks to all those who have remained loyal to GN over these last few years through the good and bad times (we know who you are!). Much respect to the entire GN community both new and old!
We're looking to 2008 and hopefully the great improvements GN can offer it's community. We dont get paid to do all this ****. We do it because we want the best for our community!
We (GN) would like to announce that as we speak a new GamersNation is currently in production. For those of you who are part of the GamersNation Facebook community, you are already aware of this news and indeed the development of a newer, more shiny GamersNation.
So why the change?
GamersNation's functionality for its users is severaly limited regarding access of specific content. With this I mean news items that are submitted are not categorised or more curicially, presented to you the user in a way we feel would provide an ultimate gaming service. For example, within our current website, searching for a news item regarding a specific game or event displays only news items related to your search string. All content within the new website in production categorises each entry, so searching for a specific game or other item also displays all and any other content that is related from screenshots to videos and articles to achievements on a single page.
It doesn't seem that long ago since Christmas, at least not for me. But once again we come to this time of year, full of festive cheer and on behalf of GamersNation I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I would also like to announce GamersNation's Christmas Present to you all (although due to the Royal Mail, it wont be delivered on time). Yes, that's right, over the last few months the GamersNation Team, particularly Red and Fronty, have been hard at work on a BRAND NEW GamersNation Website - conveniently named "GN3".
Although full details can't be disclosed at the moment, we can promise a whole new level of user interaction, content and features which we are sure you will enjoy!
We look forward to seeing you all on GamersNation in the New Year and remember, don't eat too much Turkey!
With the release of Ventrilo 3.0.0, the GamersNation Ventrilo Server has now been updated to the new version and you will need to download and install this new version in order to use the server. Make gaming sociable and have a chat with us whilst playing your favourite games such as; Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, Call of Duty 4, World of Warcraft, Counterstrike, Battlefield or even the odd game of Poker!
